Set 300 years into the future, We Will Rock You introduces us to a very different world to the one we inhabit today. Earth is no longer called the Earth, instead it is known as Planet Mall, which is under the absolute control of the GlobalSoft Corporation. At the top of the food chain is the planet’s ruler the evil Killer Queen, who has stamped out freedom of expression and thought, and put a stop to any kind of freedom of music. As a result, all of the inhabitants of Planet Mall act, think and look exactly the same.

Enter The Bohemians, the heroes of the piece – a group of freedom fighters who want to return the world to how it used to be – the time of The Rhapsody. They set off on their quest to bring down the Killer Queen with the team that consist of Galileo and Scaramouche. Maybe then, everyone will break free and music will finally return to society.

The show is penned by the comedian Ben Elton and has been playing at the Dominion Theatre since May 2002. It has been so popular that it was actually the most popular show in the West End, at least for a duration in 2008 it was, when 20,000 people witnessed the production during one Christmas week. It was the most successful week of any show last year and cemented We Will Rock You as an unstoppable force.
